What is your experience with sport & exercise?Alaskah has been playing sport for a majority of her life - Soccer, Oztag, Netball, Athletics, Touch Football and Swimming to name a few. Alaskah is accustomed to the nature of sporting organisations, the needs of sporting teams and is understanding of team dynamics. Growing up, Alaskah has experienced events within her personal life that has led her to have an in depth understanding of how difficult it can be for children with additional needs and their families to be accepted and feel supported within sporting teams. Currently, Alaskah is an Athletics and Gymnastics Mum. She now has developed a new found role of being a parent of a sporting participant, rather than a team member on a sporting team. From a parent's point of view, I now understand that all parents want their children to feel a sense of inclusivity and support throughout their time playing sport. Sport is an important aspect of a every individual's development - physically, mentally and socially.
